My quest for a minimal photo backdrop had finally found an answer. The locals informed that the place “is not actually that interesting”. But fueled with the need to recharge post-Eid relatives visits, i stubbornly insisted to go. And apparently, the place is exactly how i want it to be.
Being known as ‘not very interesting’ means the absence of crowds, and less stranger glares per minutes for every awkward poses. The grounds have marble-like patterns perfect for sneakers selfie (or pedicure selfie, if you prefer). The lake was perfectly gray, simple and non distracting, putting any other objects perfectly in focus. The hills accentuates the horizon and the grass adds the amount of greens that celine would approve.
Except for a grumpy photographer brother, I almost can’t find anything to complain about.
Situ Patok, Cirebon. If only it wasn’t 250 km away from home, i would have ended my quest.
PS : i would like to give (a very late) Eid Mubarak for those who celebrates it! Taqabalallahu minna wa minkum!

OMG Aini lagi mudik masih sempet-sempetnya photoshoot buat blog? That’s dedication! Salut! :D
Ga mudik beneran sih wakakak… abis bosen mbaknya foto di tempat jemuran mulu :p
It looks like an atmosphere where I’d love to take a walk with my iPod, or simply go out with friends and light a bonfire or something (which is something I’ve never done, but it surely looks great in movies…), I didn’t even see how different the ground looks like until you’ve mentioned it in your post!
And Eid Mubarak to you too! :)

Bonfire indeed sounds like fun (although i tried it once and i can’t stand the heat and the smoke). But you’ve got to try it at least once :p
